How To Register

Online registration will be open until the 12 August 2024. Thereafter registration must be done onsite. Every participant, including invited participants must register.

The following registration fees apply:

Full Registration Fee Includes

  • Attendance at all conference sessions and access to the poster, catering and exhibition area (Sunday 18 August - Friday 23 August)

  • Attendance at the Welcome Reception and Awards Reception
  • 1 ticket to the Social Gathering at Cabo Beach Club on Tuesday evening 20 August
* Developing Country delegates:

ISME has based country eligibility for 'developing countries' on the list our publisher Oxford University Press has created for its waiver program.

OUP determines country eligibility for the Developing Countries Initiative on an annual basis. The eligible countries are determined by carefully reviewing;

Your country of employment needs to be listed here in order for you to be eligible to register in this category.

** Student Delegates:

You will be considered a student if you are enrolled as a student for most of the year 2024 (i.e. for at least six months or more in 2024).

Student Delegates need to download the verification form and submit this through the registration.

Invitation Letters

Delegates who require a letter of invitation should write to the ISME 19 Registration Secretariat (leannea@turnersconferences.co.za). Please note that a letter of invitation does not carry exemption from the required registration fees unless this is specifically stated in an official letter sent by the LOC. Standard letters of invitation will only be issued upon receipt of a completed registration and can ONLY be issued to delegates attending the Scientific Program, not to accompanying persons.

Payment

Registration fees are quoted in Euro (€). Please adhere to the instructions for payment of all fees involved. Major credit cards or bank transfers are accepted.

Note: Some banks may consider credit card payments to South Africa high as risk transactions. In this case you may need to pre-arrange transfers with your bank in order for the transaction to go through.

Kindly ensure that these arrangements are made timeously in order to facilitate your registration.

Credit Card Payments: When opting to process payment by credit card via Paypal, please use your unique invoice number and your surname as payment reference.

Bank Transfers: The final date for bank transfers is the 14th August 2024. Please email a copy of your bank transfer through to leannea@turnersconferences.co.za and use your unique invoice number and surname as payment reference.

For International bank transfer payments, any shortfall of payments will be for your own account.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be notified in writing. Cancellations received before Saturday 27 April 2024 will receive a full refund less a € 25 administration charge. Cancellations received from Saturday 27 April 2024 until Friday 19 July 2024 will receive a 50% refund. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after Friday 19 July 2024. Substitute delegates will be accepted without charge.
