Karkloof Canopy Tour

Tour Itinerary

Based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, the Karkoof Canopy Tour has been built in a spectacular valley of the Karkloof Forest Reserve. The tour begins with a safety briefing followed by a short 4x4 drive to the top of the valley. From the start on the launch platform, a new world unfolds as one gently glides on a steel cable to the first platform. The platforms are built high up in the forest canopy and all offer different views of the surrounding forest and the Karkloof valley. Each group is escorted by a guide who will point out different tees and ferns along the way. The bird life is also incredible.
The Karkloof Canopy Tour consists of 12 platforms and 10 zip-line slides, the longest being 200m. A tour lasts approximately 2 hours, at the end of which a light lunch is served.

Due to the slides being long and fast, there is a weight restriction of 130 kg for guests wishing to do the tour.
Please note this tour is weather dependent. Departure time could be altered based on activity time slots available.
