Dr Dena van den BerghDr Dena van den Bergh has over 30 years of successful healthcare executive experience with large multinational hospital and healthcare organisations in South Africa where she spearheaded large-scale change to improve healthcare systems and patient outcomes. She served as a director of National Renal Care for seven years and worked with leaders on key projects to advance value-based care in renal dialysis and the adoption of digital products by patients in renal care. Denaa's expertise spans a unique blend of clinical know-how and systems engineering skills. She is an honorary research associate at UCT Dept. of Medicine Division of Infectious diseases and HIV. She has led and published multiple large-scale collaborative healthcare change studies across private and public sector hospitals. Dena currently works independently as a mentor-coach, project leader and strategic advisor for implementation of healthcare change projects and is committed to co-creating positive change in health systems and growing change leaders in healthcare.
