Dr Augusto Cesar Soares dos Santos Junior Dr. Augusto Cesar Santos Jr is a Professor of Medicine at Faculdade de Ciências Médicas and a clinical nephrologist at Hospital das Clínicas, UFMG, Brazil. In 2010, he received the Clinical Research Scholar Award from Harvard Medical School. In 2014, he served as a guest researcher at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research and the National Institute of Health (NIDDK) in Bethesda, USA. He earned his PhD in Health Sciences in 2016. In 2019, he was awarded the Building Capacity Bursary by the Nuffield Department of Primary Care at the University of Oxford. In 2021, he received the ISN Mentorship Award, and in 2024, he completed an MBA with merit from Imperial College London. He currently serves as the Chair of the ISN Education Social Media initiative and is a member of the World Kidney Day Joint Steering Committee.
