RCSSA ABSTRACT PRESENTATION GUIDELINES


The following guidelines have been prepared for abstracts that have been accepted for presentation within the RCSSA programme.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Oral presenters will have 20 minutes presentation time followed by 5 - 10 minutes for questions and answers at the end of all the presentations.

RAPID-FIRE ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Rapid-fire oral presenters will have 8 minutes presentation time and 2 minutes for questions and answers, a total of 10 minutes.

E-POSTER PRESENTATIONS

e-Posters will be on a rotational display for the duration of the congress. An allocated presentation time will be sent to you in due course.

An e-poster template is available for download below, there are further guidelines to assist you in the template. Your final e-poster file must be emailed to Kerry@tcon.org.za by 9 October as a pptx file.

At least one of the listed authors must be registered and present at the congress.

DETAILED ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Presentations should be prepared in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 or later. Presentations should be in the Widescreen (16:9) ratio format for optimal viewing.

If your presentation includes embedded audio and video clips, please bring your audio and video clips as separate files with you to the congress. Should they not work in your presentation this will allow the technician to assist you with re-embedding them.

Presentations must be sent to Kerry Firmani - Kerry@tcon.org.za by 9 October. Large presentations can be shared with wetransfer.com, Google Drive, One Drive, Sync or any other large file sharing mechanism. Speakers are encouraged to check-in at the speaker preparation area at the Congress and can use this opportunity to double check their presentation/s and update, if required. Changes can be done up to 2 hours prior to your presentation time.

A technician will be available in the speaker preparation area to assist you if needed. Your presentation will be "pushed" through to the meeting room you are presenting in and will be available in the room at the time of your presentation.

At least one of the listed authors must be registered and in attendance at the congress to present the work.
